Maybe it is because the weather is getting warmer and we’re all feeling happier thanks to longer days and more sunshine, but whatever the reason, May seems to be THE awareness event month of year! There are so many awareness month, week and day events occurring during May that there are almost too many to list here; and indeed, this article does not list them all. It does attempt to cover off the most important ones, however, like Lupus Awareness Month, Women’s Health Week and World No Tobacco Day. And of course, we didn’t forget the fun ones. It’s not every month you get to celebrate Star Wars, lost socks and mint juleps in the same month!
