David Disiere is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of QEO Insurance Group. Prior to launching QEO, David was the powerhouse behind Deep South Insurance, turning the small family-owned business into one of the most successful insurance Managing General Agencies (MGA) in the nation. In 2008, QBE U.S. Agencies, a longtime partner of Deep South and a subsidiary of QBE Insurance Group – one of the 25 largest insurance and reinsurance companies worldwide – purchased Deep South from Disiere for $190 million.

After continuing to serve as the company’s CEO to ensure a successful transition, David went on to establish QEO Insurance Group, a commercial transportation MGA focusing on local to intermediate radius transportation risks. As a turnkey operation, QEO provides underwriting, loss control and claims management services distributed through independent agents. The agency focuses on three broad categories within commercial transportation: energy, local delivery, and construction. QEO is founded on the same principles of stability and innovative leadership that made Deep South one of the largest and successful MGA’s in the country.

In October, 2017, David Disiere announced an exclusive agreement with Clear Blue Financial Holdings, LLC to write its commercial automobile insurance program on Clear Blue’s carriers: Clear Blue Insurance Company and Clear Blue Specialty Insurance Company. The relationship with Clear Blue provides QEO with nationwide exclusivity to write its commercial automobile insurance program for five years, providing the MGA the ability to sustain its growth for the coming years and to do so as the exclusive provider of commercial automobile insurance for Clear Blue.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for QEO and its appointed agents,” said David Disiere of the announcement. “The agreement with Clear Blue, among other things, allows QEO to avoid any market confusion and channel conflicts for its agents and their customers.”

In an industry that is currently under a lot of pressure, QEO is thriving, which David attributes to their ability not only to handle losses better, but to get the numbers right. Their internal motto is “you can’t be stupid for free”, and the key to their success is going further than most insurers to collect historical, company and vehicle information to ensure more accurate forecasting. QEO also underwrites a lot of business that other companies don’t, creating a lucrative niche in the commercial transportation segment.

Similar to his leadership style at Deep South Insurance, David remains highly involved in every part of QEO’s business, particularly in the management of losses and authorizations.  Philanthropy also continues to play a pivotal role at QEO Insurance Group, with involvement in community and charitable activities across Texas and the nation, particularly those that benefit children, through the David & Teresa Disiere Foundation.

Most recently, the foundation donated $50,000 to Shriners Hospital in Shreveport. The foundation donated $25,000 directly to the hospital on December 14, 2017, and then worked with KTBS’s On Your Side On Call to hold a public donation drive the following day with a pledge to match all funds raised up to another $25,000. The donation event raised $16,500, and despite falling a little short of the goal, The David & Teresa Disiere Foundation decided to proceed with the full match. The total amount raised including public donations came to $66,500.

David is also an avid traveler and a keen collector with impressive collections spanning classic cars, Lalique Sculptures, art and books.

David earned an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
